Conner H. Patrick joined the FUERZA team in 2016. Conner grew up in an equestrian family on a small farm in the Seattle area riding off the track Thoroughbreds. After spending the majority of his junior career competing along the west coast and in Canada, Conner made the move to Reno, Nevada. He had applied and been accepted into noted R-rated judge, rider, and clinician Julie Winkel’s Horse Industry Training Program. During his time at Winkel’s Maplewood Stables, Conner garnered more experience in the jumper arena, riding young and green horses, and teaching both children and adults. After completing the program, Conner was hired on to the Maplewood team and spent his last summer in Reno showing in the hunter and jumper rings and competing in the USHJA International Hunter Derbies.
In February of 2014, Conner made his move to Dallas, Texas where he was the Assistant Trainer for a Boutique Show Barn. While in Texas, Conner gained experience in taking students to National Medal Finals as well as some of the most competitive horse shows in the Mid-West. Conner gained experience in the Derby Ring while in Dallas when he competed in the USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals in Lexington KY. While the students were Conner’s main focus, he also managed to win Horse of the Year in Zone 7 in 2015 as well as Reserve Champion National Horse of the Year on his own horse, Seamless. Conner strives to create an enjoyable environment while developing well rounded competitors.
